BLOOM – The Next Generation Runway

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the BLOOM – The Next Generation Runway (“BLOOM”) website, events, registrations, applications, participation packages, workshops, runway activities and related programs and services.
These Terms may apply, as relevant, to participants/models, parents and legal guardians, designers and fashion brands, volunteers, media representatives, photographers, videographers, content creators, speakers, hosts, special guests, sponsors, vendors and other individuals or organizations participating in or working with BLOOM.
Certain sections of these Terms apply only to specific types of participation. Additional agreements, releases, waivers or requirements may apply depending on an individual’s or organization’s role at BLOOM.
By submitting an application or registration, making a payment, purchasing a participation package, accepting an invitation or accreditation, signing a BLOOM agreement, or participating in a BLOOM event or activity, the applicable individual or organization acknowledges and agrees to the Terms relevant to their participation.
MODEL & YOUTH PARTICIPANT TERMS
BLOOM is a youth-focused fashion, education and runway experience open to participants ages 4–18.
Previous modelling or runway experience is not required.
Participants under the age of majority must have the authorization of a parent or legal guardian to register, make payments, select a participation package and participate in BLOOM activities.
The parent or guardian completing a registration is responsible for ensuring that the information submitted is accurate and that they have the legal authority to provide consent on behalf of the minor participant.
MODEL REGISTRATION
BLOOM operates through a registration-based participation process. Auditions are not required.
Participants may be asked to submit a short introduction video following registration so the BLOOM team can become familiar with each participant prior to the event.
The introduction video is not an audition or selection process and does not require professional filming, editing, modelling experience or a professional runway walk.
Registration is subject to event capacity and availability.
BLOOM may close registration when available participant spaces have been filled.
MODEL REGISTRATION FEE
A $50 CAD + applicable taxes registration fee is required to complete model registration.
The $50 registration amount will be credited toward the BLOOM Experience selected by the participant or parent/guardian and is not an additional charge on top of the selected package price.
The registration fee is non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Payment of the registration fee alone does not constitute payment in full for participation in BLOOM.
A participant’s BLOOM Experience is not fully secured until all required payments, forms and agreements have been received according to the applicable deadlines.
BLOOM PARTICIPATION EXPERIENCES
BLOOM currently offers three model participation experiences:
BLOOM EXPERIENCE - $650 CAD + applicable taxes
The Runway Experience
Includes the BLOOM Workshop Day and industry speakers, runway and posing training, fitting and rehearsal, professional runway hair and makeup, opportunity to walk for one designer, professional runway photography, and a BLOOM gift and certificate.
BLOOM SIGNATURE - $1,350 CAD + applicable taxes
The Runway + Portfolio Experience
Includes everything in BLOOM EXPERIENCE, plus the opportunity to walk for up to two designers, a professional model headshot session with Anita Surma / Butterfly Photography, and two professionally retouched headshots.
Headshot sessions will be scheduled around BLOOM weekend according to the schedule communicated by BLOOM.
BLOOM EDITORIAL - $2,150 CAD + applicable taxes
The Ultimate BLOOM Experience
Includes everything in BLOOM SIGNATURE, plus the opportunity to walk for up to three designers, an exclusive BLOOM fashion editorial session with Anita Surma / Butterfly Photography, photography in a selected designer runway look, five professionally retouched editorial images, and the opportunity to be considered for inclusion in BLOOM editorial and social media content.
BLOOM EDITORIAL availability may be limited.
Package inclusions and pricing are also displayed on the BLOOM website and/or registration form.
The $50 model registration amount will be credited toward the total price of the selected BLOOM Experience.
Designer placements are based on availability, garment sizing, designer requirements, production requirements and overall runway scheduling.
BLOOM does not guarantee participation with any particular designer, garment, runway position or collection.
PARTICIPATION FEES & PAYMENT SCHEDULES
Participation package fees are separate from the initial model registration payment, except that the $50 registration amount is credited toward the total price of the selected package.
Where BLOOM offers a payment plan, deposit or installment arrangement, payments must be made according to the schedule communicated at the time of purchase or confirmation.
Payment plans may only be available for certain BLOOM Experiences.
Failure to submit required payments or documentation by communicated deadlines may result in the participant’s place or package benefits being released.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, registration fees, participation payments and deposits are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Applicable taxes will be added where required.
PARTICIPANT WITHDRAWAL
If a participant chooses to withdraw after registration or after selecting and confirming a BLOOM Experience, amounts already paid are generally non-refundable.
This may include withdrawal due to scheduling conflicts, travel issues, change of mind, illness, inability to attend or other personal circumstances, except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to by BLOOM in writing.
REHEARSALS, FITTINGS, WORKSHOPS & EVENT REQUIREMENTS
Participants may be required to attend scheduled rehearsals, fittings, workshops, check-ins, photography sessions or other activities associated with their selected BLOOM Experience.
Participants and parents/guardians are responsible for arriving on time and following instructions and schedules provided by the BLOOM production team.
Failure to attend required rehearsals, fittings or other mandatory activities may affect the participant’s ability to participate in certain portions of BLOOM, including particular designer collections or the runway show.
Scheduling information may change as production develops.
DESIGNERS & FASHION BRANDS
Designers and fashion brands interested in presenting a collection at BLOOM may be required to submit a Designer Application for review.
Submission of a Designer Application does not guarantee acceptance or participation in BLOOM.
BLOOM reserves the right to review proposed brands and collections and determine which designers are suitable for the event, taking into consideration creative direction, age appropriateness, production requirements, available runway space and the overall BLOOM experience.
If accepted, designers may be required to complete a Designer Participation Agreement and pay the applicable Designer Participation Fee of $500 CAD + applicable taxes by the communicated deadline.
No Designer Participation Fee is required merely to submit an application unless expressly stated otherwise.
Payment of the required Designer Participation Fee and completion of required agreements will secure the designer’s participation, subject to these Terms and any additional written Designer Participation Agreement.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Designer Participation Fees are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
DESIGNER COLLECTIONS & RUNWAY PARTICIPATION
Acceptance applies to the designer, brand and proposed collection approved by BLOOM.
Material changes to an approved collection should be communicated to BLOOM before the event.
The number of runway looks and models assigned to a designer may be determined by BLOOM based on collection requirements, garment sizing, model availability, runway timing and overall production requirements.
BLOOM does not guarantee any specific model, number of models, runway order, placement, exposure, sales, media coverage or commercial result.
Designers are responsible for providing accurate garment sizing and fitting information.
Designers are responsible for ensuring that garments, footwear, accessories and other items supplied for the event are safe, age-appropriate and suitable for the assigned youth models.
Designers must provide garments and other required materials according to communicated fitting, rehearsal and show-day schedules.
Designers retain ownership of their garments and collections.
While BLOOM will take reasonable care in handling garments used during event activities, designers acknowledge that garments used for fittings, rehearsals, photography and runway presentation may experience ordinary handling and wear.
BLOOM is not responsible for loss or damage except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Designers are responsible for having the necessary rights to designs, trademarks, logos, images and other materials they provide to BLOOM.
VOLUNTEERS
Individuals interested in volunteering with BLOOM may be required to submit a Volunteer Application.
Submission of an application does not guarantee a volunteer position.
Volunteer roles will be assigned according to event requirements, availability, experience and suitability.
Volunteers must follow reasonable instructions provided by BLOOM organizers, venue personnel and authorized production staff.
Volunteers are expected to behave professionally and respectfully and to maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding non-public information encountered through their role.
Because BLOOM is a youth-focused event involving minors, certain volunteer positions may be subject to additional identification, screening, supervision, safeguarding requirements or access restrictions.
Volunteers must respect all rules relating to youth participants, backstage access, photography, video and confidential information.
BLOOM reserves the right to modify or discontinue a volunteer assignment where reasonably necessary for safety, conduct, scheduling or production reasons.
MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHERS, VIDEOGRAPHERS & CONTENT CREATORS
Media representatives, photographers, videographers and content creators seeking access to BLOOM may be required to apply for media accreditation or event credentials.
Submitting an application does not guarantee accreditation or event access.
BLOOM reserves the right to approve, limit or decline media access based on event capacity, production requirements and the nature of the requested coverage.
Approved media representatives must follow venue rules, designated access areas, production instructions and all applicable requirements concerning the photography, filming or interviewing of minors.
Accreditation does not automatically provide unrestricted backstage, rehearsal, dressing-room, fitting or other restricted-area access.
Media representatives must respect all instructions regarding where and when photography, filming or interviews are permitted.
Media accreditation does not grant permission to use BLOOM trademarks, logos or branding for unrelated commercial purposes.
Commercial use of BLOOM branding or event identity requires prior authorization from BLOOM.
SPEAKERS, EDUCATORS, HOSTS & SPECIAL GUESTS
Speakers, educators, mentors, hosts, performers and special guests participating in BLOOM are expected to maintain professional, respectful and age-appropriate conduct when interacting with youth participants.
Participation, schedules, appearances and programming may be modified when reasonably necessary due to production requirements, travel, availability or circumstances outside BLOOM’s reasonable control.
Unless separately agreed in writing, participation in BLOOM does not create an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between BLOOM and a speaker, educator, mentor, host, performer or special guest.
Any compensation, travel arrangements, accommodation, promotional obligations or other special arrangements must be agreed separately where applicable.
SPONSORS, PARTNERS & VENDORS
Sponsors, partners and vendors participating in BLOOM may be subject to separate written agreements outlining their specific deliverables, fees, benefits, access and obligations.
Participation as a sponsor, partner or vendor does not create an ownership interest, partnership or joint venture with BLOOM unless expressly agreed in writing.
Use of BLOOM’s name, logo or other branding by sponsors, partners or vendors must be approved by BLOOM.
WORKSHOPS & EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING
BLOOM may provide workshops, presentations, educational sessions, mentoring, discussions and other experiences led by models, agents, photographers, creators, designers, speakers, educators and other industry professionals.
Speakers, workshop topics, schedules and programming may change due to availability or production requirements.
Participation in BLOOM workshops or educational programming does not guarantee agency representation, modelling work, employment, sponsorships, social media growth, professional opportunities or any specific career outcome.
Information shared by speakers or industry professionals represents their own experience, knowledge or perspective and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future results.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & MEDIA
BLOOM events, workshops, rehearsals, fittings, runway shows, behind-the-scenes activities and related experiences may be professionally photographed, filmed or otherwise recorded.
Specific permissions regarding the use of an individual’s image, likeness, photographs, video, voice or other media may be included in registration documents, applications, participation agreements or separate media releases.
Where the participant is a minor, appropriate parent or legal guardian authorization may be required.
Participation in BLOOM does not automatically transfer ownership or copyright of professional photographs, videos or other creative works to the participant, designer or other individual appearing in them.
Any photographs or media included within a particular BLOOM Experience will be identified in that package’s inclusions.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, additional images, video or other media beyond the stated package inclusions are not guaranteed.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & BLOOM BRANDING
The BLOOM name, logo, event branding, graphics, website content and other BLOOM-created materials may be protected by intellectual property rights.
Participation in BLOOM does not grant any individual or organization ownership of BLOOM intellectual property.
BLOOM branding may not be used to falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or official affiliation beyond the person’s or organization’s actual relationship with BLOOM.
Approved designers, speakers, sponsors, partners, media and other participants may be provided with authorized promotional materials or usage instructions where appropriate.
EVENT CHANGES
Fashion shows and live events may require changes to schedules, designers, speakers, programming, locations, rehearsal times, production elements, model assignments, runway order or other details.
BLOOM reserves the right to make reasonable changes where necessary for production, safety or event operations.
BLOOM does not guarantee participation with a particular designer, speaker, outfit, runway position, photographer, mentor or other individual event element unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
EVENT CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT OR RELOCATION
If BLOOM must postpone, reschedule, relocate or materially modify an event due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, registrations and participation may be transferred to the rescheduled or modified event where reasonably possible.
Any refund, credit or other obligations will be determined according to applicable law, applicable agreements and the specific circumstances of the cancellation or change.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
Unless expressly included in a purchased package or separate written agreement, participants, families, designers, volunteers, media representatives, speakers, guests and other attendees are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, meals, travel documentation and related expenses.
BLOOM is not responsible for travel expenses resulting from event changes, participant withdrawal, missed transportation, travel delays or circumstances outside BLOOM’s reasonable control, except where otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
CONDUCT & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
BLOOM is committed to providing a professional, respectful, inclusive, safe and positive environment for youth participants, families, designers, speakers, staff, volunteers, media representatives, guests and other attendees.
Discriminatory, abusive, threatening, harassing, dangerous or seriously disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
All adults participating in or working with BLOOM are expected to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and age-appropriate interactions with minors.
BLOOM reserves the right to restrict access or remove an individual from an activity or event where reasonably necessary for safety, conduct, safeguarding or serious interference with the experience of others.
Where appropriate, BLOOM may also revoke credentials or participation privileges.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Parents and guardians are responsible for providing relevant information reasonably necessary for the safe participation of their child and for determining whether the participant is physically able to participate in event activities.
Participants and other attendees must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by BLOOM, venue management, production staff and authorized event personnel.
Parents or guardians should inform BLOOM of relevant accessibility or accommodation needs sufficiently in advance so that reasonable arrangements can be considered.
BLOOM cannot guarantee that every requested accommodation will be available but will consider reasonable requests where practicable.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS & PROPERTY
Participants, designers, volunteers, media representatives, guests and other attendees are responsible for their own clothing, equipment, electronics, valuables, garments and personal belongings.
BLOOM is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
WEBSITE & EVENT INFORMATION
BLOOM makes reasonable efforts to keep information appearing on its website, registration forms and promotional materials accurate and current.
However, event information may change as production develops.
Information communicated directly to registered or confirmed participants may supersede earlier general information appearing on the website or promotional materials.
PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
BLOOM may collect personal information through its website, registrations, applications, communications, payments and event operations.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the BLOOM Privacy Policy and applicable privacy requirements.
Because BLOOM works with youth participants, parent or legal guardian information and consent may be required when collecting or using certain information relating to minors.
Please review the separate BLOOM Privacy Policy for additional information about how personal information is collected, used, disclosed and protected.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BLOOM will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from participation in or inability to participate in BLOOM events, programs or activities.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection, privacy or other laws remain unaffected where they cannot legally be waived or limited.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
BLOOM may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to its programs, events, services, policies or legal requirements.
The current version will be posted on the BLOOM website together with the date it was last updated.
Where appropriate, material changes affecting an existing confirmed arrangement may also be communicated directly.
