Does my child need modeling experience?

Not at all. No previous runway or modeling experience is required. We’re looking for personality, enthusiasm and young people who are excited to be part of the BLOOM experience.

What should they wear to the audition?

Keep it simple and comfortable. We recommend fitted jeans or leggings with a simple top and clean shoes. Please avoid heavy makeup, elaborate hairstyles or anything that hides their natural personality. We want to meet them, not a styled version of them.

What happens during an audition?

Auditions are relaxed and fun. Participants will meet the BLOOM team, introduce themselves, take a few photos and have a chance to show us their walk. Don’t worry if they’ve never walked a runway before - that’s completely okay.

Can parents stay?

Yes. A parent or legal guardian must accompany participants under 18 to the audition. Specific instructions about where parents can wait during the audition will be provided before the event.

What happens if my child is selected?

Selected participants will receive an official BLOOM invitation with information about the next steps, available participation packages, preparation, fittings, rehearsals and show weekend.

Are there additional costs after auditions?

Yes. The audition registration fee is separate from participation in the BLOOM runway experience. If selected, families will receive information about the available participation packages and pricing before deciding whether to continue. There is no obligation to purchase a package simply because your child auditions.

What does the participation package include?

Package inclusions will vary depending on the option selected and will be clearly outlined before registration. Depending on the package, the BLOOM experience may include runway participation, workshops, professional photography and other show-related experiences and keepsakes.

Are payments refundable?

Registration fees, deposits and participation package payments are non-refundable. Full payment terms will be provided before purchase.

Can we participate if we don't live in Canada?

Absolutely. BLOOM welcomes participants from outside Ontario and internationally. If you cannot attend an in-person audition in Toronto, a video audition option will be available. Families traveling to Toronto are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Are photos and videos taken during BLOOM?

Yes. BLOOM is a photographed and filmed fashion event. Professional photography, video and social media content may be captured throughout auditions and the BLOOM experience. Because media coverage is an integral part of the event, participants must agree to BLOOM's media and photography terms as part of registration.

What happens during rehearsal?

Rehearsal is where everything starts coming together. Participants will learn the runway layout, practice their walk and positioning, meet the team and designers, and prepare for show day. Fittings may also take place during the rehearsal period.

What should we bring on show day?

We'll send every participating family a detailed BLOOM Show Day Guide before the event with arrival times, wardrobe instructions and exactly what to bring. In general, participants should arrive prepared, comfortable and ready for a full - and very exciting - day.
