BLOOM – The Next Generation Runway (“BLOOM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the privacy of our participants, parents and legal guardians, designers, volunteers, media representatives, photographers, videographers, content creators, speakers, hosts, special guests, sponsors, partners, vendors and website visitors.

This Privacy Policy explains how BLOOM may collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information through our website, registration and application forms, payments, events, communications and related activities.

Because BLOOM is a youth-focused organization and many participants are minors, we take particular care regarding personal information relating to children and youth.

Participant/model name, age and date of birth

Modelling or runway experience
Social media handles or publicly provided professional profiles

Selected BLOOM Experience or package

Designer or brand name and business information
Designer collection information, garment sizing and lookbook/portfolio materials
Volunteer application information, experience and availability
Media, photographer, videographer or content creator application and accreditation information

CHILDREN & YOUTH PARTICIPANTS

BLOOM is a youth-focused fashion, education and runway experience for participants ages 4–18.

Because many BLOOM participants are minors, registration and other personal information relating to a minor must be submitted or authorized by a parent or legal guardian where required.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that information submitted about their child is accurate and that they have the authority to provide such information and permissions.

BLOOM may communicate primarily with the parent or guardian regarding a minor participant's registration, payments, scheduling, fittings, rehearsals and other event matters.

Parents and guardians may contact BLOOM with questions or requests concerning personal information BLOOM holds about their child, subject to applicable legal requirements.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

BLOOM may use personal information to:

Process model registrations
Process designer, volunteer, media and other applications
Review designer brands, collections and portfolios
Review media, photographer, videographer and content creator applications
Communicate with participants, parents and guardians
Communicate with designers, volunteers, media, speakers, sponsors, partners, vendors and other event participants
Coordinate model placements and designer collections
Coordinate fittings, rehearsals, workshops, photography sessions and runway activities
Match participants with garments based on sizing and production requirements
Process registrations, participation fees and other payments
Administer payment plans where offered
Send confirmations, schedules, event updates and other important communications
Provide purchased BLOOM Experiences and related services
Organize and operate BLOOM events
Maintain appropriate administrative, financial and business records
Respond to questions and requests
Maintain event safety and appropriate youth safeguarding practices
Improve our website, events, programs and participant experience
Prevent misuse, fraud or other inappropriate activity
Meet legal, accounting, tax, insurance or regulatory requirements
Carry out other purposes identified at the time information is collected, where appropriate

REGISTRATION & INTRODUCTION VIDEOS

BLOOM model participants may be asked to submit a short introduction video after registration.

The introduction video is intended to help the BLOOM team become familiar with the participant and assist with event preparation.

The introduction video is not an audition or selection process.

Introduction videos and other participant materials may be accessed by authorized BLOOM personnel where reasonably necessary for event planning and administration.

BLOOM will not use an introduction video for unrelated public promotional purposes unless appropriate permission has been obtained.

DESIGNER & BRAND INFORMATION

Designers and fashion brands applying to BLOOM may provide information about their brand, collection, sizing, portfolio, website, social media and previous experience.

BLOOM may use this information to review applications, determine suitability for the event, coordinate model assignments and fittings, promote confirmed designers where appropriate and administer runway participation.

Information submitted as part of a designer application does not guarantee acceptance into BLOOM.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Individuals applying to volunteer with BLOOM may be asked to provide contact information, experience, availability and other information reasonably necessary to evaluate and coordinate volunteer roles.

Because BLOOM involves minors, certain volunteer positions may require additional information, identification, screening or safeguarding measures where appropriate.

Such information will be handled for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with applicable requirements.

MEDIA & ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

Media representatives, photographers, videographers and content creators may be asked to provide contact information, professional information, portfolio or publication information, social media profiles and details regarding their proposed coverage of BLOOM.

This information may be used to evaluate accreditation requests, communicate event requirements, issue credentials and coordinate approved media access.

PAYMENTS

Payments associated with BLOOM may be processed through third-party payment processors, including Stripe, and through website or form services integrated with those payment processors.

BLOOM does not directly store complete credit or debit card numbers where payment information is handled by the applicable payment processor.

Payment providers may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy and security practices.

BLOOM may retain transaction information reasonably necessary for registration, accounting, tax, refund, dispute and business record purposes.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & EVENT MEDIA

BLOOM events and related activities may be professionally photographed, filmed or otherwise recorded.

This may include workshops, rehearsals, fittings, runway shows, photography sessions, behind-the-scenes activities and other event experiences.

Where required or appropriate, BLOOM may obtain participant and/or parent/legal guardian permission regarding the use of a participant's image, likeness, voice, photographs or video.

Specific photography and media permissions may be included in registration forms, participation agreements or separate media releases.

Subject to applicable permissions, BLOOM may use approved event photography or video for purposes such as:

BLOOM social media
Event promotion
Advertising and marketing
Editorial content
Press and media materials
Event recaps
Future BLOOM promotional materials
Other BLOOM-related communications

Where a participant is a minor, appropriate parent or legal guardian authorization may be required.

EMAILS & EVENT COMMUNICATIONS

BLOOM may use contact information provided through registrations, applications or other interactions to send communications necessary to administer participation.

These may include registration confirmations, payment information, scheduling, rehearsals, fittings, event instructions, important updates and other information related to a person's involvement with BLOOM.

Where required by applicable law, promotional or marketing electronic communications will be handled separately from communications necessary to administer an existing registration, application, transaction or event relationship.

HOW WE MAY SHARE INFORMATION

BLOOM does not sell personal information.

Personal information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to service providers, contractors or professionals assisting BLOOM with its operations.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
